You are not your customer. You are the one who has created something. Put in the effort and taken the risk. All the customer is doing is paying a couple shekels for the privilege of what you put on the table. You have ambition and took initiative. You have made an investment; at best they are making a purchase. You owe them a product and service. That’s it.
In a fair world they would sing your name, but we know how that goes. You are a superior human being. You are the one who has volunteered for criticism and bile. You earn the profit that comes from your effort. You deserve the reward because you have made the sacrifice. Most humans work, few lead. Every business owner is a leader – of themselves, their base, their family and community.
What you do, every day, is the fulcrum on which civilization swings in the balance. You are fulfilling your capacity – and searching for where your limit lies. You are a superior human being. Acknowledge this truth to yourself every day. Seek to become more than what you already are. The customer will buy or walk past, but they know the score.
